We are planning for a trip in October/November, and have been excited for some of the fine dining choices. We were aiming for one sushi place in particular, and I had noted the day/time when they released reservations for dates we wanted. So the date & time just came, the "Make Reservation" button became availabIe, I clicked on it right away, saw a calendar with the month we wanted listed, but…. No dates were enabled/clickable. I tried refreshing many times, and literally within 3 minutes I was kicked out and the "Make Reservation" button changed to "Pending Others Reservations". 15 minutes later, no more reservations.
This was for a small (10 seat) place, so I get they would fill quickly.
Frustrating to say the least.
I had already created an account previously, not sure what more I could have done. Is this common? ANy advice? Would it work better if I had used a VPN with a Japan IP address?
There are a few other places I want to book also from omakase.in, so trying to decide if I should try for those or start making other plans…
