Do I need residence card for a domestic flight?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to take a domestic flight within Japan soon and wanted to clarify something about the identification requirements. Do I need to present my residence card at the airport, or is a passport sufficient for domestic travel?

Any insights or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated!

The reason I’m asking this is I’m currently on Trainee Visa and my residence card is currently on a renewal process so I don’t exactly have the physical card but I do have a photocopy of it.
