First post here. I originally got my home country driving license in 2010, but got it renewed in 2022. To convert to a JP license, sources say that I need to have been resident in my home country for three months after issuance. My question is – is being resident for 3 months from 2010 sufficient or would it have to be since 2022? As a note, my license just states it was issued in 2022.
Really hoping it's the former, since the license conversion process would be infinitely easier than doing the driving school stuff from scratch here.
