I'm planning to buy a bicycle to explore Tokyo, visit local coffee shops to study, and save on train fare (though I know I'll still have to pay for parking). I live in Katsushika, so having a bike would make it easier to reach places that aren't as convenient by train, plus it'd be fun to record and share my rides.
My budget is around max 35k yen, which, correct me if I'm wrong, seems reasonable for what I need. I've been looking here at bikes on Cycle Base Asahi, but I'm not sure whether to go for a gear or no-gear bike, straight or curved handlebars, or if Cycle Base is even the best option. I'm also uncertain if the bikes I'm considering are any good. I don't know much about bikes in Japan, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
