Staying in a Ryokan at the southern end of Lake Ashi.
We plan on getting there for checkin at 2:30-3 to fully enjoy the ryokan and relax.
Checkout by 11am the next day.
Question is – is it possible to do the hakone loop with hakone free pass starting at 11AM or is that too late in the day? We are heading to kyoto afterwards and don’t have a strict itinerary but would like to be in kyoto at least by 7pm…
Would you recommend exploring hakone or part of it before train to kyoto (roughly 3.5 hr ride..) or just skip exploring hakone?
