[Spoilers] G1 34 Night Nineteen (8/18) Results- Who has raised the flag?

  • Ryusuke Taguchi, Satoshi Kojima, Hiroyoshi Tenzan def Shoma Kato, Tiger Mask, Yuji Nagata – (8:13, Oh my & GarAnkle)

  • Taichi def Katsuya Murashima – (7:21, Dangerous Backdrop)

  • Robbie Eagles, Mikey Nicholls (w/Kosei Fujita) def Francisco Akira, KONOSUKE TAKESHITA – (9:39, Hyperion)

  • Drilla Moloney, Clark Connors, Taiji Ishimori def TAKA Michinoku, SANADA, DOUKI – (9:01, Bloody Cross)

  • A video announces Royal Quest IV for October 20th @ Crystal Palace (between KOPW on the 14th and the beginning of SJTL on the 24th). Walker and Chris also tease that at some point in the not-so-distant future we’ll see announcements of shows in Boston, MA and Long Beach.

  • Tomoaki Honma, Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto) def “Mad Bastards” (Jake Lee, Gabe Kidd), David Finlay (w/Gedo) – (9:37, Itadaki-kari/Easy Pickings)

  • YOSHI-HASHI holds up Finlay’s Global title, seemingly challenging him.

  • Pre-bell for our next match, EVIL hands ELP an HoT shirt; after indirectly extending the offer last show. ELP takes the shirt and is at ringside/in the audience considering the offer for much of the match, including when his teammates are jumped by the House.

  • He eventually jumps in and hits Sudden Death on Kanemaru to save Tanahashi, but Narita then hits him in the back with one of the NEVER 6 belts. Ren tosses the belt to Tana, which is what ELP sees when he looks up from selling. ELP sells his back and inner turmoil, watching while HoT finish Tana off.

  • Yoshinobu Kanemaru, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi, Ren Narita, EVIL (w/Dick Togo) def El Phantasmo (w/Jado), Shota Umino, Boltin Oleg, Toru Yano, Hiroshi Tanahashi – (8:43, Dick Togo hits some big moves on Tana while the ref is distracted and then EVIL just pins him)

  • EVIL gets a mic and again asks (in English) if ELP can trust Hontai. He tells ELP to hit Tana with a chair, prompting Jado to come in to try to convince ELP to stick with the good guys. ELP chooses the light, throwing away the chair and hugging Jado. They’re assaulted by HoT, during which ELP jumps in to take a shot for Jado.

  • EVIL says they’re both losers and he didn’t actually want ELP in the House anyways. Once they retreat, Shota Umino appears from whatever void he had been stuck in (which apparently claimed Tana, Yano, and Boltin; RIP) so he can help ELP and Jado backstage.

  • BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito def Callum Newman, Great-O-Khan, HENARE, Jeff Cobb – (11:40, Unnamed Hiromu Roll)

  • Hiromu wants that NEVER belt, which Naito has deemed Hiromu’s ticket to a singles match with him. Naito also takes a little cheap shot at O-Khan, who appears to be first on the list for a shot at the WHC.

  • Masohiro Chono is here to proclaim the “God Damn” start of the G1 Final match, and presumably to present the winner with the trophy.

  • G1 Tournament Finals Match: Zack Sabre Jr. (w/Kosei Fujita, Mikey Nicholls, Robbie Eagles) def Yota Tsuji – (31:04, Clarky Cat: G1 34 Winner Tekkers Version)

  • The President of G1 Sponsor Yamada Infratech presents ZSJ with the trophy, Chono presents him with the flag.

  • Zack thanks his mentor the recently retired Yoshinari Ogawa. He says January 4th is a long way away, and he’s fallen in love with Ryogoku, so it would be pretty good to have a title match right here. ZACK IS NOT WAITING FOR THE DOME. HE HAS CALLED HIS SHOT TO HAVE HIS WINNER’S TITLE MATCH AT KING OF PRO-WRESTLING ON OCTOBER 14th.
