Are the languages listed on the Japanese PS Store also apply for physical games?

Had a quick question in regards to buying physical PS4/PS5 games in Japan. Many of the previous posts suggest looking at the Japanese digital store to see if English language is supported in the game.

But I wanted to confirm – does this support also apply to the corresponding physical game? In other words if the PS store says the game supports English language, does it matter if you buy the physical or digital version, it should support the same language, or is this not always the case?

Some confirmation from those who have gone through this would be very helpful, especially if anyone has ever seen a case where they bought a game physically that didn't support English even though the PS store listed it.
