How to get to Naha airport from Yomitan

I think I researched this thoroughly but there’s only three ways. Currently the only good way it’s just take a taxi or maybe a Uber taxi. The cost would be between ¥6000 and ¥8000.

  1. The other way is to take the several tourist buses up north where the resorts are. Last stop is usually Onna Village, before they make an express run to the airport. There’s two kinds of these limousine type buses. The ones you have to make reservations at fancy hotels or you take your chances on the ones that stop on the street and hope there is space for you and your luggage.

  2. This option is driving to the Monorail Station northern terminus at Tedako-Uranishi Station. This way to the in to airport means it’s usually very crowded on a Friday. And if you’re a big luggage, forget it. Also, the big parking structure there is filled up just like parking at the airport on Friday.

  3. Taking the regular city bus down highway 58 from Yomitan bus station. That’s a non-starter because it makes every stop along the way and it’s subject to the same lousy traffic. Don’t even try it unless you wanna leave 4 to 5 hours ahead of your flight.

So that’s it, if anybody knows of a better way, please let us all know. I know we’re not locals, but have mercy.
