Hi! I will soon go back to japan with my wife in november for 3 weeks and I've already been there last year and I would love to get feedback on my trip plan!
I'm Italian and will fly from Korea ( I will visit Seoul/Jeju island/busan) and will get in Fukuoka first and go up to Tokyo on trains.
I already visited Tokyo, Nagano, Kanazawa, Okayama, Himeji, Osaka and Kyoto and I loved them, this time I would like to focus on Kyushu and things I missed last time. What my wife and I love are UNESCO heritage and historic sites and we usually jump on organized tours on bus because they are handy and bring you around. Also given that we don't speak japanese, we usually do english tours.
I booked all hotels close to the train station to be fast and not waste time on buses and taxis, but if you have some great suggestion I'm all hearing!
I still have some holes in my program specifically:
- What to visit in Fukuoka?
- Is Nagasaki interesting?
- What food should I try in Fukuoka?
- What to visit in beppu beside Onsen and 7 hells?
- How to get efficently to Naoshima Island?
- What should I do in Kurashiki?
- Do I need to book ticket for the fireworks in Nagano? Can I see them without a ticket? If I need a ticket how can I buy from abroad?
- What can I do in Tokyo?
- Do you know any romantic activities/trips I can do with my wife?
I have already visited: Nikko, Hakone, Nagano monkey park, Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go, Osaka, Kyoto, Wakayama, Himeji, Okayama, Nara.
