Travel crowds/weather in January

We will be going between January 8-13. We're staying mainly in Tokyo I wanted to get an idea of how crowded exactly it is. I'm anticipating it to be not too bad as it's colder and after new years but I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything. How is it crowd wise? Is there any holiday/vacation for locals during this time that I should be aware about that may cause a surge of crowds.

I plan to go to DisneySea January 9th as it's on a Thursday so I'm expecting it to be the least busiest of the days but I've heard of people doing that before and it ends up being even busier as there was a local holiday/vacation period they didn't anticipate. Are the local crowds there back in school/work during that time? does anyone have any idea of what to expect going around this time.

I also plan to hit Team lab and some shrines when we are there so I want to plan accordingly for ex. If team lab is busiest on a Saturday I'll try to go on a Friday and go to the shrines on a weekend instead or vice versa.

Also what is the weather like? For reference I am from BC Canada and am used to the colder climate. I've visited Korea last year also in January and it snowed a little bit for a day and I had to bundle up quite a bit with fleece shirt/pants, a sweater and then a jacket. should I expect to layer up quite a bit with a longsleeve, sweater and jacket layer or is a single layer with a jacket okay, I just want to make sure I'm not over packing but I heard some people say Tokyo is a little warmer and doesn't get snow so I'm not sure how cold to expect. Thank you for the help
