Does anyone know of a doctor (Tokyo, Kawasaki area) who gives 3 monthly prescriptions? (or at least 2 monthly)?
Background: My (cardio) doc gives me a prescription (for blood pressure, statin meds) but only for 30 days, although Japanese law says they can give prescriptions for up to 90 days. When I asked for 2 or 3 month prescription, she said she prefers to give 1 month prescriptions. So I have to visit the clinic and pay 1500yen every month just to get the paper).
She doesnt do anything besides taking blood pressure and saying お変わりありませんか (no change?). I have detailed tests done in a big hospital twice a year, so the monthly visits to are unnecessary — just an easy extra income earner for the doc.
