I'd like to start growing Lion's Mane (山伏茸) mushrooms and have ordered a live culture syringe of mycelium from the US. I'll need to inoculate some kind of starter to get things rolling but don't know what is usually used in Japan. Does anyone have experience of growing mushroom here? Do you know where I can buy a pre-made package or have a cost effective recipe using local ingredients?
