we're a couple from germany heading to japan next week! we're currently trying to get the most out of our trip so are planning our itinerary. We'll be in Tokyo for 7 days, 6 full days and a half – after that we'll also be in Kyoto and Osaka, but we're still working on the itinerary for those.
We have just finished the Tokyo itinerary and are looking for some advice!
We wonder if some days are too packed or just not manageable, if we're not doing the areas justice or missing something important…
We'd love to hear from you and your experiences!
We're also very interested in any recommendations for yummy food ^^

TOKYO ITINERARY 6 1/2 Days // October 2024
Day 1 – October 4, 2024
- 08:00 – Arrive in Tokyo (Haneda Airport, Ota)
- Morning – Travel to the hotel; drop off luggage
- Visit a convenience store (konbini) to get snacks or breakfast
- Until 15:00 – Explore Akihabara (maybe try Tonkatsu; see list)
- 15:00 to 16:30 – Return to hotel; shower, get ready, unpack
- Evening – Explore Ginza, Chūō (see list)
- Later – Back to hotel
- Visit a konbini to get water and snacks
Day 2 – October 5, 2024
- 09:00 – Depart from hotel; Yamanote Line to Shibuya Station
- Morning – Explore Shibuya (see list) / grab a coffee at Starbucks – Shibuya crossing
- Afternoon – Depart from Shibuya Station; Yamanote Line to Harajuku
