Tent recommendations for Kita Alps

I'm planning to do the Daikiretto next weekend and am looking for recommendations for tents. I have a 4-season tent at home which I will bring to Japan next time I go back, but I'd like something lighter (probably not ultralight though). Preferably a double wall 2P tent.

Also, should I bring my mountaineering boots or would approach shoes be fine? Any tips would be appreciated as well. I hiked Kita-dake and Ai-no-dake last month, but have never been to the Kita Alps. Have done scrambling in the US (Mount Russell) and Taiwan, so I think I'll be fine with the exposure.
