I am a permanent resident here in Japan and I have a life insurance (on my life). Recently I have been thinking of surrendering it (stopping it) and getting the cash (for various reasons)
It’s not a huge amount and it’s all in my home country so the money would go into my account back home (not Japan)
Just wondering about any taxes (In Japan)
Any advice?
