I’ll be travelling to Japan in just under 4 weeks now (yay!) and am wondering if it is actually possible to just go to a train station and purchase tickets for the next available Shinkansen? Im an over planner (trying to get better) and I’m trying to avoid having super strict timing on some legs of my trip. There will only be 2 of us travelling with small bags. Mainly thinking from Kanazawa to Kyoto!
