Hi! Thinking about moving to Japan with my wife for a few years. I've been doing some research, but wanted to hear from anyone who’s been through something similar. My wife is of Japanese descent, so we can get a long-term resident visa. I’m a freelancer and was thinking of setting up a sole proprietorship (個人事æ¥ä¸») once we’re there.
Has anyone gone through this process? How bad is the bureaucracy/taxes? Also, how easy is it to get paid by international clients once you're based in Japan? Would appreciate any tips or advice!
