Sold house overseas while in Japan, a question about taxes (uni student, in Japan for less than a year)

Hey there. It's probably been asked a thousand times in one way or another, but here is my situation:

I am foreign undergraduate student at a Japanese university on a student visa, arrived in Japan in March 2024 (less than a year in Japan in total currently). I sold a house I used to live in abroad in July 2024 while already in Japan. The money is currently in my overseas bank account. Is it considered taxable in my circumstances? If so, what are the general instructions to proceed with it? I've read the info on Japanese taxation, but just wanted to make sure I understand it all correctly with the help of you who are far more informed than me.

Just in case if it is relevant: I do plan on buying an apartment in Japan, either by direct payment from overseas account or by transferring the money to my Japanese bank account first.

Thank you.
