Just want to call out how amazing this place is. There seems to be 2 locations, I’ve been to the Gion location only .. situated at the end of a long, dark alley. A friend and I were wandering aimlessly around Kyoto a few weeks ago at around 1 am and stumbled across this place. Goma, the owner, is passionate about blues and drank with us until 6 am talking about it (via Google translate – we speak no Japanese and his English is not good!). For of the time, we were the only customers. We listened to and talked about blues, Goma played the harmonica, and we drank. One of the highlights of our trip.
