learning Japanese, and the money to consider spending

how does studying Japanese privately for $2,500 a year sound like to you? are there any stories out there?

let’s quickly get to an easy figure to work with, by saying that we take lessons consistently and privately with a tutor, for 50 weeks, for 4 years. let’s set the rate at $50 for a class.

each year you’re spending $2,500. at Year 4, you’re tracked to spend $10,000.

to note, I wonder if there are students, teachers out there who have seen their students at the year 3 or year 4 mark. I understand that language schools end somewhere close to 2 years?

main question: how do the numbers sound to you?
