Posted this a while ago but I think something messed up somewhere, so I'll try again. 😊
I was in Tokyo a couple of months back and stayed at a rather 'upmarket' hotel. To me it was pretentious, rather than luxurious, but we had an amazing view and there was an outdoor pool that my wife really wanted to use (despite it costing £35 each to use, though we got it free as part of the 'Club').
Anyway, one day in the very early evening, we were there and there was a woman in her late 30s posing at the pool, with a guy who I thought was her older husband talking photos with an expensive camera. You're not allowed cameras at the pool, and there were 3 or 4 lifeguards right there who did nothing.
About 15 minutes later, a young girl, early 20s appeared in a green bikini and she was with a guy in his 50s playing in the pool with her. She did keep sneaking sly looks, I must say, but generally she was with her man. After half an hour of normal fun in the pool, he too whipped out his camera and started taking photos of her walking around and lying on the deck chairs. Nothing overtly sexual at all, just photos of her doing normal stuff.
When they left, we also went to the chairs (where the mosquitos bit my legs really badly) and it wasn't long before a really young looking girl appeared with a different guy in his late 50s. She sprayed stuff on herself, like mist, and then went straight into the poses. He was also in his swimming stuff, and she was in a bikini, but as I say she looked very young indeed, though definitely 'of age'. Again, his camera was hugely expensive-looking, and these photos were done as if nobody was there.
They left, and we left, and nobody batted an eyelid.
To me, I'm very defensive of people's own choices, and it didn't make me uncomfortable at all. Not in the slightest. The reason I'm posting it is because I was discussing what the dynamic between the people might have been, with my wife. She didn't even notice it apparently, so I'm arguing with myself more than anything 😂
So does anyone know what might have been happening?
