Question about Chinese Shares through Japanese Brokersc (A-Shares)

I currently only invest in a global equity fund (All country), and I am not buying Chinese shares. (Just to get ahead of the warnings).

Rakuten seems to offer A-Shares for Japanese residents. For what possible reason would a retail investor want to own A shares over H shares?
