Vasectomy Experience

Sitting here waiting to be let go so figured I'd kill some time here.

I just got a vasectomy at the Saitama Urology Clinic. ~¥80,000 and zero issues. First appointment was a few weeks ago, came back today, friendly staff. Totally recommend it. Waiting for the 麻酔 to wear off so we'll see what I say then haha.

So far, it's been a good experience.

Hope you all are having a great day! 🙂

  1. Take it easy. I went out to dinner afterwards and then flew back to Japan the following day. The following week was a little tender…

Did they offer the no scalpel method or do you have stitches?

  2. Did insurance cover this? I’m contemplating it one day but I think I’ll save my vans deferens if I’m 8man out of pocket.

  3. I don’t need a vasectomy in Japan as sex is something very far away from the reality.

    (Let the comment quest begin)

  4. Keep us updated. I’m considering getting one too but a bit worried about the surgery and the aftermath…

  5. My Japanese dad-friends and I are thinking about getting one. How was the experience? Was it pretty straightforward? Any advice?

  6. Just remember to get yourself checked every so often to make sure it stays done. People have had surprises, and this can always be awkward if the first assumption is it’s someone else’s.

  7. I think I went to the same place.
Whole thing was like 20-30 minutes.
They gave me pain killers which were enough.
Follow up in 30 days showed my count was 0.

    Great Success!

  8. Best decision you’ll ever make. I had complications and all sorts of other problems and I would do it again in a heartbeat even knowing how it was going to go.

If you don’t have one buy a tight jock strap and sit on frozen peas.

  9. My wife doesn’t want me to get a vasectomy because she thinks it’ll make it easier for me to blow loads in a bunch of random sluts.

I honestly took it as a compliment. At least someone still finds me attractive, right?

Anyway, take care of your nuts OP.

  10. Overall my experience was similar to what others are saying.
A few days in, I was feeling pretty uncomfortable and noticed a lump on one of my testicles. I was worried and went to the doctor who did a ultrasound and determined it was just some fluid build up that it would go away on its own, which it did.

I know others guys who recovered much faster than I did, though! Good luck with your recovery!

  11. Just a recommendation based on personal experience, be sure to flush out the pipes a few times before you get down to business again. There are apparently a few places where downstream where the swimmers can hide out and be perfectly viable for a 1-2 weeks after the surgery.

  12. Were you given any pain killers for the procedure or afterwards? Or was it just local anesthetic?

  13. I had it done 25 years ago. Doctor forgot to put down the grounding pad and electrocuted me. When I jumped she asked If I could feel that. I was like “Nah, I just like jumping around while someone has a knife in my balls…” The only part of me touching the table was the top of my head and my heals. She said “Oops, forgot the grounding pad…” But I’d still do it again rather than have more kids I can’t afford.

Then I felt fine so I didn’t listen to the doctors when they said to take it easy and was just doing the regular stuff I usually do. So I managed to turn them black and blue.

  14. They tell you to take it easy for two weeks. It might start to feel better at a week, so if you go back to your normal day, it will bring you to your knees.
