Hi everyone, I’ve been working in Tokyo for 6 months now (Shimbashi area) and I’ve noticed that most of my colleagues quickly eat a bento in 5 minutes. Sometimes together but mostly alone and I usually end up doing the same, but honestly, I miss socializing during this moment and having a proper break at noon. Otherwise, well… it’s a bit depressing. I guess it’s cultural too (not sure). Is it the same at your jobs?
