I got the “Japan Shelter” app, and scouted out the places around my house. I chose one that seems close and easily accessible. The app prompted me to register.
But, there are several that are very close to my house. I’m not sure if registering is a thing? Is there usually one designated shelter, or can I register for any of my choice?
Am I already registered for one and don’t know it?
I’m not sure if this is standard across Japan, or if each city has different policies. I would assume it’s standard because the app covers the whole country, but I’m in western Hyogo if anyone knows the answer.
