On a 16-day trip to the country with a group of six people going on the days of December 19th to January 5th. All of us are male and in our college semesters and planned to go during our winter vacation. I already booked flights and made an itinerary but I wanted to ask since I haven’t been since I was a kid if there were any recommendations to go to specific places to eat that were local specialties, any underrated places, and maybe some limited-time events that we could visit. We are honestly down for any sort of experience and were wondering if any Japan Travel veterans had some advice or recommendations.
This is my itinerary notes so far and right now it’s kind of a big mess. I was planning on writing down all the places we can go then start shaving off things to get the best itinerary possible.

You may find it difficult to do anything on January 1st. It is a fairly significant holiday in Japan. I spent January 1st in Tokyo a couple of years ago and there wasn’t much open – in particular tourist things. Make sure to check that out before planning a trip to Odaiba!
