Question about careers/jobs/phd and stuff

Hi, so Im currently doing an exchange in Japan and I like it really much so far. Im not the "omg I spend 2 weeks in Japan and now wanna move here cuz its perfect" – kinda guy, but it is really nice so far. So it got me thinking about future planning.
So I'm gonna graduate from my masters degree in 2025. Im gonna be 27 (yeah a bit on the older side). Manly my dilemma right now is to either do a PhD or to start in the industry. But if I decided to go to Japan up and downsides of both options wiuld probably change, so I wanted to ask what you guys think? Could I even land a decent Job in Japan at that age? Would landing a job become harder/easier with a PhD (would be older of course, 30 minimum). It's not a fetched out question, but I kinda wanted to ask for general experiences and opinions.

Mb relevant infos:
I actually like heavily science orientated work, which is why I consider a PhD at all. If I were to work in the industry I'd love the job to be in R&D of mb even a bigger company. My school is, I guess, fine? Technical University of Berlin. Im actually not sure how high/low it ranks, but it's considered one of the better schools in Germany. My grades are fairly good and I'm in control engineering (like not electrical with a specialisation, but pure control with a background in mechanical). A job in Germany could probably land me around 25k€/year after taxes without the phd. The living costs are higher in Ger and Im not the most focused on money, but it would still kinda such to earn like significantly less.
Yea already too long of a text, so thanks to everyone who read until the end and thanks for the comments.
