2. My friend visiting recently did it when a typhoon stopped service on the Tokaido Shinkansen b/n Nagoya and Mishima or something like that. I asked him where he was, thinking he was stuck in Kyoto or Nagoya and said, “Kanazawa”. I was laughing thinking he got discombobulated or had a sudden 🦀 craving. But he said the JR staff recommended the route. He got to Tokyo slightly later than planned but it worked well.
