Tadaima actual meaning

So I've been watching Dragon Ball Super recently and I noticed they said tadaima in a context of "right away" or "okay"/affirmation. So my understanding is that tadaima is usually used in the context of tadaima kaerimashita to say you've returned. What does tadaima by itself mean? I've tried googling around, but I only get the translation of "I've returned".
