Hello, I recently got an IT job accepted and will probably move in January. I am from Europe and I never traveled outside of it, so I don't know much about VISAs in Japan.
The company said it will issue me a 1-year VISA. What happens when that VISA expires and I have to renew it? Can I renew it while being in Japan? Or do I have to leave the country? I am asking it because I read many people saying they have to go back home so they can re-apply for VISA. Unless they are referring to a different type of VISA like holiday-one?
I am asking that because when I will move to Japan, I will sell everything and leave the apartment I am renting, so technically I won't have a "back home" place. Plus I am Italian and I have been living in Germany for a decade, I have nothing left in Italy (nor family there) if I have to do some embassy-related stuff in Italy. How would that work?
