I recently moved to tokyo and got a 3ldk apartment.
Regarding internet service the following was written in the contract.

当団地では、光配線(FTTH)、VDSL、CATVによるインターネット サービス(有料)をご利用になれます。 詳しくは、 下記サービス提供 事業者へお問い合わせください。
OFTTH 東日本電信電話(株) (全棟)ソニーネットワークコミュ ニケーションズ(株) (NURO光) (1.2.4.6号棟) OVDSL 東日本電信電話(株)・KDDI(株)
OCATV: (株)多摩テレビ
Not sure what this means.
Could anyone help me with a good internet service which I could set up in a short span of time and has good service.

You can get three kinds of Internet, the one you want is fiber. Call Nuro for a hookup.

VDSL and CATV you can skip, honestly 🙂
FTTH is available from NTT in all buildings. Nuro is available only in buildings numbered 1.2.4.6 (whatever that means).
Not sure if “available” means already routed to every apartment/whatever or needs to be hooked up.
In either case, calling the management or NTT/Nuro would get the installation fee question answered, probably not something that can be answered by anyone here on reddit.
