Even though there are different colors of tuna, I wouldn’t recommend eating those since it’s probably brown from being left out for too long.
If it doesn’t smell, it’s fine
Yeah it’s looks fine. Some cuts of tuna are from different parts of the tuna so there can be a range of color. Toro is from the belly part which is fattier and the lean part is from the upper range of the fish.
Looks like steak
The color is from the oils being released dies not mean it’s bad.
Looks like labia
Looks high qual to me
Also remember the tissue and any remaining blood will oxidize, so just because it’s a little discolored just means it might have been exposed to oxygen for a little bit. If you don’t trust it, Chuck it, but I think you’re ok
Smell it. Nose doesn’t lie.
Almost looks like the bloodline.
Probably been marinated, collor might be the light? Either way, smell will tell you more than looks ever could, does it smell bad? Don’t eat, smells good? Should be fine.
And any piece of fish that actually is bad enough to fuck you up bad will clearly look and smell off.
No, it’s raw.
Sincerely, USFDA
Yes. That’s what fresh tuna looks like. If it’s bright pink it’s been “tasteless smoke” prodded before freezing to premiere color retention. What you have looks of the utmost quality.
If you have to ask, maybe not. But the color varies all over the animal, and it might be marinated or brushed with a soy glaze or something similar.
