So I usually travel to Japan with my ex but this time I will be travelling alone and I need help with my itinerary. I’m mostly looking forward for the Halloween decorations and events.
Oct 24th – arrived in Osaka at 3PM so I will probably get to my hotel around 5 PM near dotonbori and go to Umeda to prebook the shinkansen ticket to Tokyo.
Or stay 2 nights in Universal City Walk? But I’m worried that would be a bad choice since it will be far away from nightlife however it would be relaxing to rest in that area since it will be quiet.
Oct 25th – Aquarium in the morning – USJ at 2PM since I don’t think I could wait in line for hours alone, I will probably just take few single rider rides, Nintendo world and taking pictures of Halloween decorations so I don’t need to get there too early, I think.
Oct 26th – Kobe, china town for breakfast, Onsen village, explore Kobe a little and hopefully nijigen no mori if I have the courage to take the bus. Back to Osaka in the evening.
Oct 27th – Tennoji zoo, Onsen World, Abeno Q for Mugiwara Store. Probably will head to Tokyo via shinkansen around 2 PM, 4PM arrived from Tokyo station to Akihabara – Ueno – Sky tree. The hotel will be in Akihabara/Ueno for a night.
Or stay in Osaka for one last night but no plan what to do, I still haven’t decide.
Oct 28th – If I did stay in Osaka, will take the 10/11AM train to Tokyo then Akihabara – Ueno – Sky tree – Ginza area. Hotel in Akihabara/Ueno for tonight.
Or if I already in Tokyo, move to Shinjuku for the rest of the trip. Ginza – Shimbashi – Tokyo Dome – Ikebukuro – Shinjuku for check in – Harajuku – Shibuya – Roppongi – Tokyo Tower – Shibuya at night for Halloween.
Oct 29th – Odaiba – TDL from 2/3PM same reason as USJ
Oct 30th – a day trip to Kamakura. I’m worried it would be too crowded since it’ll be on Sunday but at the same time I shouldn’t feel lonely since there will be a lot of people. Will probably visit Yokohama (China town, Cosmo world, nissin museum, ramen museum for dinner) as well on my way back to Shinjuku.
Or go to TDS since my main reason to travel is to see the Halloween events in USJ and both TDR. I’m kinda worried I will regret it if I don’t go to TDS for Halloween and it will be the last day for the Halloween theme. Yet I’m also worried i will get burned out really quick since I always went to both TDR on every trip to Japan and the last time I went there with my ex, we were already bored in the afternoon and left the park very early like 2-3 hours after we entered.
Oct 31st – i have no idea what to do, but I have to go to Shinjuku for the Halloween party at night.
Nov 1st – also no idea, will probably meet up with my friend in Saitama.
Nov 2nd – no idea. Currently I’m thinking to cut my vacation shorter and take this as my last night?
Nov 3rd – no idea. Probably going back to my home country in the morning.
Also most of those activities (except Kobe and Kamakura) I’ve had already done it before with my ex, would doing the same thing again be bad since it will definitely reminds me of him instead of enjoying the trip? And I’m thinking to visit the bar in Shibuya/Shinjuku since they will definitely have Halloween event but I never been to a bar alone before, is it normal to go alone?
And I’m also planning to go back to Osaka – Kyoto – Tokyo – Sapporo in Dec alone for Christmas, so I need to make sure I won’t get burned out for the Christmas trip.

‘ll leave you with some tips.
You wrote that you are going to USJ on October 25th, but if you enter the park at 2:00 pm, you may not be able to enter Super Nintendo World.
The area is very popular and numbered tickets are distributed on busy days. There is a high possibility that the numbered ticket will be gone at 2:00 pm. (It is a different story if you have purchased an express pass that guarantees entry to the area.)
What are you going to do at Nijigen no Mori on October 26th? This theme park must be charged per area. If you have a specific purpose, such as wanting to take pictures even if you have to pay a fee, it’s fine, but I don’t know if you, a foreigner, can enjoy going alone.
Either way, Kobe’s Chinatown → hot spring town → Nijigen no Mori → Osaka in the evening, this schedule is too tight.
