(Itinerary check) 3-ish weeks Late Jan-Mid February

I actually posted over a year ago about itinerary, but now that Japan will be opening up again, I wanted to get some thoughts on my itinerary rough draft.

**Day 0 (Jan. 28th):**

\- Fly out to Haneda airport.

**Day 1 (29th):**

\- Arrive in Haneda and stay in Tokyo.

Visit the Tokyo Skytree as the 1st thing if there’s still light, otherwise maybe Asakusa if enough time.

**Day 2-6 \~ Tokyo + Kamakura. May switch days around depending on weather and etc.**

\- Day 2 (30th): Start off Shibuya (or Skytree if didn’t do in the morning, then Shibuya) then Harajuku. After that just wonder if enough time.

\- Day 3 (31st): All day Akihabara. Maybe even go off the beaten path, but heard some arcades during night time are amazing.

\- Day 4 (Feb. 1st): Tsukiji Outer Market for breakfast, then Odaiba. After that the Yebisu beer museum.

\- Day 5 (2nd): Wake up, do Pokemon Cafe, then go to Kamakura, then do Shinjuku for Evening/Night (possibly Golden Gai).

\- Day 6 (3rd): Ikebukkuro, Sunshine City. Then Nakano Broadway, JoJo Bar if open.

**Day 7-9: \~ Sapporo**

\- Day 7 (4th): Wake up a bit early, get breakfast, and go to Haneda to fly out to Sapporo. Definitely want to hit up Sapporo Beer Garden.

\- Day 8 (5th): Snow Festival! Look at cool sculptures and check stalls, then take train and go to Nikka Yoichi if they’re accepting tours, come back in night to see everything lit up

\- Day 9 (6th): Either go to Hoheikyo Onsen or a Ski Resort.

**Day 10: \~ Tokyo**

\- Day 10 (7th): Arrive from Sapporo. Rest day mostly

**Day 11 \~ Mt. Fuji-ish & Kofu**

\- Day 11 (8th): Go to Chureito Pagoda in the morning (7:30am Chuo Line). Walk around and take in the zen, then around 11:20am take train to Suntory Hakushu (2:29PM arrival) and find a place to stay around area (looking at Kofu). If Suntory isn’t open I’ll see about other options. Seems like Kofu is known for wineries? Will look into that.

**Day 12 & 13 \~ Shizuoka**

\- Day 12 (9th): From Kofu, take the Minobu Line all the way to Mishima station to get another look a Fuji on train, then take another train to Shuzenji in Izu and walk to the Baird Brewery Garden (if it’s too cold I’ll just take bus). Look around Shuzenji area/onsen for a couple hours and either stay there or take train to Shizuoka city and stay there.

\- Day 13 (10th): Get up early, walk around, then check out the Kunozan Toshogu Shrine along with the Nihondaira plateau, then bars at night.

**Day 14-17 – Kyoto**

\- Day 14(11th): Arrive in Kyoto from Shizuoka. Check out a few shops, maybe Gion, then Pontocho at night.

\- Day 15(12th): Kiyomizudera Temple, Nishiki Market, then partake in the Philospher’s Path, then check out Higashiyama

\- Day 16(13th): See the Inari Shrine in the morning, hike a bit, then go to the Sake district.

\- Day 17(14th): Go to Toei Ninja Park for Toku stuff. Rest of the day is whatever.

**Day 18 \~ Kinosaki Onsen**

\- Day 18(15th): Train to Kinosaki onsen

**Day 19-21 \~ Osaka**

\- Day 19(16th): Arrive in Osaka, Dotonbori, American Village nightlife

\- Day 20(17th): Super Nintendo World (would it be too cold?), Possibly tour Asahi if open

\- Day 21(18th): Suntory Yamazaki

**Day 22 & 23 Tokyo**

\- Day 22(19th): Himeji Castle, then train back to Tokyo

\- Day 23(20th): Leave

Currently debating on making Kyoto a 3 day instead of a 4 day (Thinking about doing Toei Ninja Park then going to Kinosaki). I’m also open to adding a couple more days to trip if any of you think I need it, especially because I wanted to check out Fukuoka and whatnot. Just didn’t want to overload myself, and I can always go back to Japan.
