Honeymoon itinerary for Japan end of March 2023. Any help or advice appreciated.
**Day 1) Australia to Tokyo:** Flight from Australia to Tokyo Haneda Airport
**Day 2) Tokyo:** Arrive Haneda Early.
Stay Shibuya. Explore Area
Shibuya Sky possibly.
Miyashita Park shopping and rest.
**Day 3) Tokyo** Disney Sea all day
**Day 4) Tokyo**
Sleep in and then Takeshita Street
Meiji Jingu Shrine
Ghibli Museum from Yoyogi Station
Kichijoji Station to Shinjuku
Explore, shop, dinner and then train to Shibuya Hotel
**Day 5) Tokyo**
Train to Tokyo Museum
Akihabara Electric Town
Train to Team Lab Planets
Train to Shibuya and then dinner
**Day 6) Takayama**
Bullet train to Nagoya and then Train to Takayama. Stay Near station.
Hida No Sato
Sanmachi Historical Houses
Showa Museum
Dinner and then back to Air BnB for Onsen/bath
**Day 7) Kanazawa**
Train to Kanazawa from Takayama. Stay Near station.
Kanazawa Castle
Kenrouken Garden
Higashichaya Old Town
**Day 8) Kyoto**
Train from Kanazawa to Kyoto. Stay Near station.
Kinkaku-ji temple
Ryoanji temple (worth it?)
Tenryuji Garden and Bamboo Grove
**Day 9) Kyoto**
Fushimi Inari Shrine early
Ginkakujicho Temple
Explore Gion Area
Kiyomizu temple
Rest and then Pontocho Alley for dinner
**Day 10) Day trip to Nara from Kyoto**
Nara Park Explore
Todai-ji Temple
Mt Wakakusa hike

**Day 11) Osaka**
Train from Kyoto to Osaka. Stay Near station.
Umeda Sky Building (worth it?)
Osaka Castle Park
**Day 12) Osaka Relax day**
Dotonbori explore, lunch
Kuromon Markets
Dinner around Dotonbori area
**Day 13) Osaka** Universal Studios All Day
**Day 14) Osaka/Hiroshima**
Day trip to Hiroshima/Miyajima/Onimichi
**Day 15) Hakone Relax Day**
Train from Osaka to Hakone. Stay at Gora.
Open Air Garden
Gora Brewery and Grill for Dinner
**Day 16) Hakone**
Ropeway to Geothermal Park
Ropeway down to lake
Pirate Ship Tour. View of Mt Fuji

Explore Daiba Park.
Flight in the evening.

For places like Kanazawa and Kyoto, while staying near the JR station is convenient to get in and out of the city these areas are pretty quiet so I would recommend staying elsewhere.
For Kanazawa, I stayed near Omicho market and found it pretty convenient to walk around. For Kyoto consider staying around Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station area.

Do you know someone in Japan that can get you tickets?
It would be nice to find another day to add to Takayama. You’re only getting a 1/2 day and not spending time in town. It’s a perfect little town to just walk around or ride bikes. Great destination. Authentic Japanese small city. Maybe take out Kanazawa and just go straight to Kyoto from Takayama.
