  1. Salmon, albacore and hamachi? Can’t tell what the 4th fish is. Maybe some sort of saba

  2. That is a lot of packing for the amount of food. Probably still better than a plastic box.

  3. I hate to be critical but that box doesn’t do it for me. Does the sushi taste like how a hospital smells? I think it’s just the diagram that makes me feel that.

  4. I recently went to New York and had many amazing meals, including a 2 star Michelin chefs menu that cost what I spend on a motorcycle.

Sugarfish is the meal I remember most and then one I want to do again.

  5. I almost cried when I went to sugarfish because it was so much better than what we have in Green Bay, need to get back to NYC again for this

  6. Honest opinion please:

Is Sugarfish a good anniversary destination with my partner?

  7. Nozowa is an evil genius. I remember him from the 80’s when he was working as a sushi chef in Encino. He was very strick about order of consumption

  8. Probably an unpopular opinion, but that looks unpleasantly clinical to me.

I worked in healthcare for a long time, reminds me of the stock room of a couple facilities I worked at.

  9. Sugarfish – meh. Overrated! Kazunori got my hopes up and Sugarfish let me down. Better places out there for sure!

  10. I don’t get why people are hating on the box. It’s cute and convenient. I mean single use plastic little cup things aren’t great, but it’s seems okay for to go. The sushi looks generic AF though and the pieces look slapped together. I’d rather a $35 “omakase” 13 piece at my local which I usually do. HOWEVER, the fish quality looks great. I’m guessing that’s not farmed salmon which is hard to avoid, even in LA.

  11. I had one of these boxes in Hollywood, CA recently and it was complete trash.

Some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had.

How was yours? I hope your experience was better than mine!
