For whatever reason Amazon is treating the refreshed PS5 model (1200 series) as a different product. It took about 3 weeks for me to get the invitation to purchase after I signed up.

Thanks, I appreciate the invite. Looks like the console price went up naturally. It is reaching scalper range. I wonder what games are exclusive to this thing… lol
One other note, you have to request an invitation for each specific model.
It’s been two years since the PS5 got released. I don’t get why people are still interested in getting one considering how far in to the product lifecycle it is. You’d think that a significant proportion of potential customers would have already given up
I’ve been signed up for months now and still have never gotten an email. I’m signed up for every disc version available on Amazon, but still nothing.
Thanks just signed up, I’ve signed up to the previous one but no cigar, basically gave up to getting a PS5 at this point… What a total mess by Sony, not being able to buy the console for 2 whole years while living 50km from the factory in Chiba….
Ridiculous that a PS5 is still this difficult to get.
It’s crazy that this is still going on. Makes me think I made the right choice when I bought one for 70,000 yen at a local electronics store a couple months after release.
