Having a very particular situation and not really sure where to post.
So, I’m currently a student and my time was for about 6 months, it’s almost drawing to an end. I had rented a pretty nice apartment and signed a lease, and moved in along with my boyfriend (who is also here on a student visa, he is staying longer though).
After school ends though, I would still like to be in Japan for a little while, and with tourism reopening today, I was betting on doing something like that, coming back shortly on a tourist visa.
In hindsight, my boyfriend probably should’ve signed the lease as he would be staying longer and there would be no issue, but I can’t fix it as far as I’m aware. The main question I guess is, would I still be able to continue paying rent, and living in my old apartment, now on a tourist visa?
