Hi! I recently cancelled my home WiFi contract because I got a gig that involves traveling around Japan. Does anyone have Pocket WiFi recs for a decent price that is reasonably fast and can handle streaming/downloading?
I’m not a hardcore gamer, if that matters, but I consume a lot of content.

I’ve been using a Wimax as my main internet for several years now. I only use Wimax, and never use the LTE coverage. Speed is throttled to 1Mbps between 18:00-01:00 daily if your total usage in the last 3 days exceeds 10Gb (I always do).
Depending on the type of traveling that you do, you should check their [coverage maps.](https://www.uqwimax.jp/wimax/area/) I’ve also noticed that the speed would drop (slightly?) when it’s raining.
Probably overpriced but currently I use japan-wireless with their 6months plan, but this has no data limit which i needed and it’s been true so far. Speed is so so but enough for 10 devices.
ivideo rents unlimited and 100gb/month for around 30-35$ or you can get a sim from them and use your own device (lte router/hotspot/your own phone). or you can sign up for docomo 5g gigaho but that’s gonna run you around 7000 yen/month but you will have premium coverage anywhere. tho you will need to provide your own device for the sim card.
