RResidents in Japan

Are there any companies that allow you to hire machinery for backyard DIY stuff? Excavating etc.

I want to build a retaining wall. At home you can get some mini versions of machinery like back hoes/excavators and ground compressors etc without any license necessary. Just wondering if that is possible in Japan and which companies to start with. I am in Tohoku BTW.

Slightly related but I am also looking for a buttload of wood chips for mulch so if anyone has any suggestions for that I would appreciate it.

  2. No idea on their name, when I get pc access I’ll look for it on goggle maps. But there’s a place down the road from me, massive lot with a whole pile of excavators and machinery that I’m 99% sure they rent out. Never done it though, wood chips as far as I’ve read are a rarity here but some places might rent chippers. Few fellas online I talk with have purchased their own chippers but that’s outta my price range ATM unfortunately. Just spent last 3 days cutting and burning and I would of loved a chipper.

  3. They definitely exist. Various rennovations YouTube channels I watch rent tiny backhoes from time to time
