6. I have an N2 cert and I still make this mistake with humans when talking to people in Japan LOL but they’re pretty chill about it they don’t really seem to care, at least from my experience with people i talked to

   (For really new people but also to explain in case my joke doesn’t make sense) I said “what is it? I’m a death god” I also made an actual effort to not practice my informal Japanese since the context of the meme was formal so yeah! Gimme good boy points I need validation since I can’t get it from either a classroom or someone who speaks Japanese

    Japanese people instantly knew I was a beginner lol

23. Not to be “that guy”, but this is completely unnatural Japanese. No one would ever talk like this to indicate death.

    「いる」is the only way to describe a cat existence in the English sense of the verb to be.

    It’s fine if we’re just memeing around, didn’t want anyone to consider this an accurate way to speak.
