Should I choose language school or apply for job from my country

I am 23 years old living in India. I have done hardware and networking course from a famous institute in India. I have a 1.5 years experience as computer and laptop engineer and this year in December my bachelor’s will be completed.

I want to work in Japan as I love their culture and how advance the country is and I love the scenery also. I am thinking about learning japanese in my country and try to get job in japan from here. But i have heard it is not easy.

What should I do should I learn japanese in my country and apply for job from India or go to Japan as language student. It won’t be easy as japan is pretty expensive and I am taking care of my family.

I am also thinking about learning computer language as a backup plan. Can anyone help me with my concerns.

Thank-you

  1. I’m kind of in the same boat. Software developer with 3 years of experience. I want to try working in Japan for a couple years. So I decided I’ll go to language school this fall for 6 months to a year and then apply for work. Just hoping this gap doesn’t affect my job prospect !

  2. Try applying for work or look for companies in India that might send you to Japan, have branches in Japan or work with Japanese companies. In the meantime start studying Japanese and save up money(language school is expensive). Also look at jobs in Japan that fit your skills and see if they are looking for any other skills that you don’t have yet. If you haven’t had any luck finding work in Japan or a company that could send you to Japan then consider language school.
