Context: I am looking for dormitories at the university and they often just state: International students both undergraduate and graduate (master and doctoral). Was wondering if international research students also qualify here.
Also when I visit their site they say that they have several programs for international students, but only show master/doctoral programs.
Thank you. I am confused sorry.

International research student is considered as an International Student (ç•™å¦ç”Ÿ) for visa purpose.
However, I think most universities don’t consider research student (ç ”ç©¶ç”Ÿ) to be a proper student. So you don’t get proper student card, cannot buy student commuter pass, can’t apply for student pension exemption, etc. As for the dorm, you really need to ask the university.
