Hi everyone! I was recently approved for study away in Japan in the spring and I’m really excited! My only problem is I have pretty bad asthma and was recently put on Advair, which contains a steroid. I was able to find information on albuterol pretty easily so I know that I can bring my rescue inhaler, but I’ve heard that a lot of steroids used in the US are banned in Japan. I know that Symbicort was recently legalized but I haven’t been able to find anything about my particular medication. Is Advair allowed in Japan? Do I need to fill out any extra paperwork or get approved as an importer?

The Japanese documentation on this only lists active chemical names, the marketing names are not listed. You will need to review the documentation for `fluticasone/salmeterol` as those are the active ingredients.
