While the ship has likely sailed due to age and injuries, just imagine Samoa Joe competing in a G1 Climax… thankfully we got to see a young Samoa Joe v. the luminaries of NOAH, but I think Joe in his prime would have been right at home in NJPW

  1. I think Joe could do a G1 at this stage and age. Matches be around 10-15 mins and TK gives good amount time off to recover. And prepare for it. What I would love next year because of this year themed blocks. They’ll have a Gaijin block with a mix of AEW/ROH talent and/or the hottest Indy stars

  2. Honestly, even now, there’s a few people I’d love to see him work with. Ishii is at the top of them but I wouldn’t mind seeing him work with Okada, Takagi, Cobb, or GOK.

  3. I think Claudio Castagnoli should go to G1 Climax instead of Joe
Imagine his match against Shingo….Banger already

  4. First thing i do when playing TEW with a Japanese company in mid 00’s is sign him and make him the top gaijin.

  5. Still think he could do it today if next year continues the 7-man blocks. 6 matches over 3 weeks won’t kill him.

  6. No joke i legit thought after he left impact he was new japan bound, legit surprised me he went to nxt

  7. Top left. I was there. Great night. Cool venue. There was a little after show thing with folks from the RoH forum. Met Mick Foley.

  8. Joe vs Lethal at Death Before Dishonor & Joe vs Adam Cole from DoN this year were both great singles outings for Joe. I think he’s still got a bit left in the tank for high profile singles matches, but dunno if I could see him doing a full G1.

Would certainly love to see him tear it up with some NJPW guys in AEW, ROH, or NJPW in the coming months/years before he eventually retires.
