Probs the point where I lost my shit in the Ibushi – Okada match. Those punches !

1. I wish I could watch this match for the first time every time.

   I was blown away by this when I watched it 2 days ago. Gonna rewatch it now.

2. I marked out way too hard over that spot. Red Shoes’ reaction made it even better.

3. The reaction of the commentary team is so authentic too. My friend and I popped so hard for this. And then “Holy shit are they booing Ibushi.” I really enjoy MURDER KOTA.

4. Kota Ibushi is almost unreal.

   One moment, he’s a hyper-athletic, ageless, lovable babyface, and the next, he seems to gain muscle, and become an inhuman entity who will murder his opponent for the win.

7. Okada isn’t the best of all time because he’s great, he’s the best because he makes everyone he faces the best version of themselves.

8. I was privileged enough to watch this match at the Tokyo Dome and my goodness it was really something else. When Ibushi goes into “no fucks given” mode then you know you’re in for the beating of your life

9. It was awesome to watch i loved how ibushi reacted, how okada sell those punches and also red shoes stoping him

10. I really hope he takes an crow-Sting turn and comes out, murders his opponents for a few minutes until a ref stoppage or DQ ends the match, and he doesn’t care which.

11. You really can’t overstate how good the top Japanese guys are at conveying feelings and emotion through body language. I know everything I need to about the character and motivations of Ibushi, Okada, Goto and of course Naito and yet I’ve never understood a word they’ve said, they still make you want to care about them and feel every blow for them. Nak of course was in the same bracket.

17. I want to see evil Ibushi take the belt. He couldn’t do it the nice way, so now he has to murder everyone

19. I love Okada through this sequence as well. It was a really powerful image to see the god damned Rainmaker just cowering in the fetal position and getting blows rained down on him. Like his whole gimmick is essentially ‘i am the greatest of all time’ – when has he ever looked that vulnerable?

22. This clip here made Ibushi my number one guy.

24. I was in the arena 1F seating for this and you could hear those strikes from up there

25. I am not a fan of Ibushi. I don’t know what it has been but I just can’t get into him. But when this dark Ibushi came out this match went from something ok to one of the best matches I’ve ever seen. I hope dark Ibushi sticks around.

26. i love dark ibushi. it really drives home how capable he is as a performer. i would love for him to go off during the G1 fight ospreay and lose his fucking mind. because it all started when he got knocked out by ospreay. something broke inside of him and now he can channel this darker version of himself.
