Hello everyone.
I’m just going to be upfront about it.
Yes, I do want to learn at a language school, but I want it to be pretty laid back. As laid back as it could be. I do want to enjoy Japan, but I don’t want to study my butt off, to the point I don’t have anything else to do. I want to basically be able to go to class, not have it too intensive and then pursue other endeavors throughout my day.
Funds aren’t really an issue. Any school recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Study by yourself or have a language tutor instead.
Honestly, the big benefit of a language school is that you *can* do serious study.
While there are people who use it for the visa, the reality is that if you don’t plan to take it seriously, going to a language school only serves as a money sink.
Just come on a tourist visa. If funds aren’t an issue, you could spend 3 months in a string of hotels and travel the country if you wish. From what you’ve described, you have nothing to benefit from going to a language school over that.
