What’s a more effective way to learn as a beginner? To type out the words, or to use text-to-speech in the target language? What’s your experience/opinion?
The more senses you engage the better so why not both.
Handwriting.
I found typing words did not help them to stick in memory. YMMV.
My anecdotal experience:
* Hearing the word is important. Native audio is better than TTS, but TTS is better than only reading. * Repeating a word aloud myself (after the native audio) helps enormously with getting it to stick.
