November trip (Kyoto/kinosaki area)- Need itinerary recommendations to add on to what I already have planned!
Going to be in Kyoto/kinosaki area. Would love any recommendations that aren’t the typical tourist sites/options, such as:
– great areas to explore on bike?
– hot springs?
– hikes?
– off the beaten path type places to explore? – any other nearby towns to check out?
Love the idea of being more outside the city in more rural areas.
Will be in the area for 8 days.
I have done a lot of research for what to do while in the city of Kyoto, such as temples, train rides, restaurants to go to. But thought I’d ask in here to see if there are some more rural and off the beaten path/less touristy activities that I might have missed!
Lived in Japan while growing up so can speak the language but haven’t explored this area before.
