While true, it’s not like you can ever see Uranus with the naked eye anyway.
(Before someone says it, yes if you have perfect vision, are under super dark skies, its close to opposition with Earth and you know exactly where to look, you might just see what looks like a very faint star)
Just need fewer clouds tonight!!!

As one of the largest methane-rich gas giants in the solar system, it is indeed a rare event in which Uranus can be hidden by the moon alone.
i thought it was hidden because everyone wears pants
Pun intended?
I’m reading this at 5:00 in the morning on the 9th I wish you guys could have let me know a little bit earlier.
I did not have a scope but here in Yokohama it was amazing just watching with the naked eye. I’ve never seen the moon like that before. At one point it was half white half red. Toward the end the moon looked out-of-focused. Really strange. Overall it was a beautiful sight.
I saw a total lunar eclipse yesterday. However, I could not find the Uranus eclipse. Still, it was nice to experience an event that hadn’t happened in 400 years.
